All Eyes On Tiger... | Original Green
This week will see the return of the 119th US Open to Pebble Beach Golf Links, one of the most iconic venues on the rota. Over the decades, Pebble Beach has witnessed some of the world's greatest players perform at the highest standard to win this illustrious trophy. This year all eyes are on Fifteen-time major winner Tiger Woods as he attempts to a win his 16th major, and step one foot closer to Jack Nicklaus's record. Woods missed the cut at the US PGA Championship in May and finished ninth at the Memorial Tournament earlier this month but returns to Pebble Beach where he won the 2000 US Open by 15 shots. It won't be so easy this time as a number of players will be fighting to challenge Woods, especially world number #2 golfer Dustin Johnson.
Adidas Golf staff player, Dustin Johnson came very close to winning the title at Pebble Beach in 2010 but was pipped at the post by Graeme McDowell. However Dustin still seems comfortable with course speaking to reporters on Tuesday. "It's a golf course that I'm very comfortable on. Obviously this time of year it plays much different than it does in the AT&T, but it still is very helpful to know the golf course."
